UPDATE FROM SONIC PROPHECY

It’s been a while since we have updated our fans on the goings on within Sonic Prophecy and we wanted to take a moment and let everyone know what has been progressing the last several months. Throughout late 2010 and all through the first few months of 2011 we have been working hard recording the new album “A Divine Act of War”. As a band we decided to make this album an eclectic mix of all that we feel makes our sound distinctly ours, moving forward with bigger, more symphonic overtones. In order to achieve this we sought out the skills of C.J. Lewis. His talent in composing several of the keyboard parts for our new music cannot be understated. His contributions have added mountains of melody and drama to the new album while staying true to the original vision of the music. This week we finished the bulk of the recording sessions for the album and now it moves on to be mixed. Engineering credits go to Matt Hepworth at Studio Nu, located in Ogden Utah. His support has been crucial and we would highly recommend his services. We have also procured the talents of Valgorth at Hammerblaze Studio for the art and CD layout design. His epic and distinct work is well known throughout the true metal community and we are excited to unveil the artwork soon! Believe us when we say it is awesome! Although we had hoped to have the album finished and released by now, we feel that the extra time has allowed us to produce our best work and come up with a significant leap forward with our sound. We hope that once you hear it you’ll agree that it was worth the wait! We will update you soon with clips from the new album, show dates, and other exciting news. As always we appreciate you all more than you know! Prepare for the birth of Symphonic Power Metal from Utah!! Sonic Prophecy
